Huayuan Technology signs contract with an Indian chemical company to customize small scale pyrolysis test equipment, enabling the research and development of solid waste resource utilization in South Asia.

In March 2026, Huayuan Technology - a global leader in the research, development and manufacturing of continuous pyrolysis equipment and a provider of solid waste resourceization solutions - officially entered into a partnership with a renowned Indian chemical company, customizing a 700kg-level multifunctional solid waste pyrolysis test equipment for them. This collaboration is an important step for Huayuan Technology to deepen its presence in the South Asian market. It will provide core equipment support for Indian customers in the process of developing and testing technologies for the pyrolysis of waste rubber and plastics, tires to produce recycled carbon black and fuel oil, helping to facilitate the technological exploration and upgrading of the local solid waste resourceization industry. 

As a leading enterprise in the industry that has been deeply engaged in continuous pyrolysis technology, Huayuan Technology relies on core technologies that possess remarkable environmental protection and resource utilization advantages.  The thermochemical process of changing the composition of the end life of tires and plastic scrap by heat without the involvement of oxygen, known as pyrolysis, is a popular approach in recent years to recycle plastic waste and obtain a mixture of products that are highly valuable and renewable such as gas, petrochemicals and biochar or carbon char. Pyrolysis in this context works by breaking the waste of molecular structure through heating in a low oxygen environment at high temperatures in the range of 300°C -600°C. Without oxygen condition and high temperature, the waste tires can be converted into pyrolysis oil, syngas and recovered carbon black by means of pyrolysis in the equipment.

As early as April 2025, an Indian client delegation traveled to the Huayuan Technology production base for onsite research. They visited the core component processing workshop of the pyrolysis equipment, the assembly area of the continuous production line, and the performance testing laboratory for recycled carbon black. During the inspection process, the client team carefully observed the precise processing techniques of the equipment, the standardized production procedures, as well as the practical application of the self-developed temperature control system and sealing technology. They gained a deep understanding of the implementation results of the enterprise's continuous pyrolysis technology and highly praised Huayuan Technology's manufacturing strength, technological research capabilities, and product quality control. In response to the core demand of the clients for testing the efficiency and quality of different solid waste pyrolysis products, the technical teams from both sides conducted multiple rounds of in-depth discussions on key issues such as equipment parameter customization, raw material compatibility, and the accuracy of test data. Finally, they determined a customized core design scheme that met the standards of anaerobic pyrolysis process. 

This 700kg-sized small-scale pyrolysis test equipment, customized for Indian customers, is a dedicated test model created by Huayuan Technology based on its years of industry experience and advanced pyrolysis technology. It is specifically designed for laboratory research and small-scale process verification, featuring three core advantages: portability, multi-functionality, and high stability. The equipment adopts a compact frame structure, with dimensions suitable for international standard containers, making transportation convenient and allowing for direct deployment in small test workshops without the need for complex site modifications. The feed system supports various solid waste raw materials such as PP/PE plastics, waste tire particles, rubber-plastic composite materials, and paper mill waste, perfectly meeting the customer's test requirements for different types of solid waste pyrolysis. It can simultaneously detect key indicators such as the output rate of recycled carbon black and the quality of fuel oil, accurately verifying the conversion effect of pyrolysis reactions within the 300°C - 600°C range.

In terms of core configuration, the equipment reactor is made of special high-temperature and corrosion-resistant boiler steel, and is equipped with multi-layer flange sealing and high temperature gasket technology developed by Huayuan Technology. This design strictly creates an oxygen-free pyrolysis environment, preventing gas leakage during the pyrolysis process from the very beginning and ensuring the safety of the experiment. The temperature control range covers 300-450℃, which aligns with the optimal temperature range for pyrolysis processes. It can be precisely adjusted according to the characteristics of different raw materials, and is compatible with the PLC intelligent control system. It can monitor and record core process parameters such as temperature and pressure in real time, support one-click adjustment of parameters, and provide precise and traceable data support for subsequent process optimization. At the same time, the equipment is equipped with multiple safety devices such as emergency cut-off and pressure release, as well as a simplified operation interface, which reduces the threshold for manual operation and balances the efficiency of the experiment and operational safety. Through preliminary tests, this equipment has achieved stable and uniform output of recycled carbon black from the pyrolysis of mixed rubber and plastic waste, with fuel oil extraction efficiency reaching the industry's high-quality level, fully meeting the actual needs of customers for process research and testing.

It is expected to be completed for production, testing, and delivery to Indian customers in May 2026.
